Flynn will discuss why partner stratification is important and introduce two models for stratifying partner programs - the traditional tiered model, based primarily on revenue, and the partner type model, based on features, content and partner persona – taking into account more than just financial metrics.

The presentation will also explore how stratification impacts the kind of content, sales, marketing, training and support that should be provided based on partner level or type. Attendees will come away with clear recommendations on how to implement best practices for partner stratification in each of these areas.

Not all partners are created equal, says Flynn. The more carefully channel managers can identify the differences in partner value propositions, their goals and how they operate, the easier it will be for partners to find what they need, motivating them to move up to the next level of a program, and enabling channel managers to effectively performance manage their partners.
